Your PMI CRB Chapter Board is pleased to continue its efforts for the 2021 - 2022 Program Year to enhance and provide value to the membership by offering Monthly Chapter Meetings & Education Sessions. 

Please join the PMI CRB Chapter for our hybrid meeting on January 04, 20221.  

Please note - We are experiencing with our new hybrid environment, and we will have limited seats (10 seats - first come, first serve) available for Country Gentlemen. Please select the appropriate ticket type (virtual or on-site) when you are registering. If you choose the virtual option, you will receive instructions on participating on the morning of January 04. If you select the on-site option, please come to CG Public House and Catering (former Country Gentlemen) at 05:30 PM on January 04, 2022.

TERRY SAMS

Terry Sams is a graduate in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, holding both a Bachelors' and a Master’s degree.  He has been a certified Project Manager Professional since 2003.  He has over one hundred publications in the areas of tank closure and retrieval, waste treatment, energy research, decontamination and decommissioning, and others.  He has numerous technical honors and awards.  He has also served as the Technical Chairman for several International and national conferences on decontamination and decommissioning. He serves on the Program Advisory Committee for Waste Management Symposium.

Mr. Sams started his career at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  The first seven years of Mr. Sams career was performing research on direct coal liquefaction, bioremediation technologies, and biological wastewater treatment.  Mr. Sams has worked in waste management activities since 1985, including design and construction of waste treatment facilities, environmental remediation of numerous sites across the entire DOE complex and some commercial facilities, and decontamination and decommissioning of several major facilities at the Oak Ridge Reservation.   He has managed the tank retrieval and closure programs at Hanford at different times during his career.  He has also managed several technology development organizations at several DOE sites.  He has over forty years of experience in the Department of Energy complex.  This includes twenty-three years at Oak Ridge, over fifteen years at Hanford, and three years at the Savannah River Site.  He has provided management oversight on numerous technology development projects, decontamination, and decommissioning projects, and selecting appropriate technologies for waste treatment within the DOE complex.

Mr. Sams was responsible for the development of strategic initiatives and relationships for tank retrieval and closure at both Oak Ridge and Hanford. He leveraged technical ingenuity to lead research and development efforts seeking creative technological solutions to radioactive waste challenges throughout his career in the nuclear field.
