CHAPTER MEETING & EDUCATION SESSION
September 11th, 2018

Your PMI CRB Chapter Board is pleased to continue its efforts for the 2017/18 Program Year to enhance and provide value to the membership by offering Monthly Chapter Meetings & Education Sessions. 

EDUCATION SESSION

4:30 - 5:30 p.m. - “Applying Project Management Principles in the DOE Isotope Program” presented by Gertrude Patello from PNNL

CHAPTER MEETING & GUEST SPEAKER

5:30 - 6:00 p.m. - Networking and Social Time
6:00 - 6:30 p.m. - Dinner
6:30 - 7:30 p.m. “Two Worlds- Leadership in Community and Economic Development in Mali Africa and Benton-Franklin County Washington"  presented by Fatima Traore, Economic Development Coordinator at Benton-Franklin Council of Governments.  

FATIMA TRAORE

Fatoumata (Fatima) Traore was born in Bamako, Mali-West Africa. She is the oldest of 10 kids. After graduating from high school, Fatima received a scholarship to go to the USSR to study for six years. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Economics and Management from The University of Belarus.

22 years ago, she moved to the U.S. and became a US citizen 13 years ago. In 1997, she worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer at Columbia Basin College (CBC) at the Learning Opportunity Center. She went to WSU Tri-Cities and graduated in May 2005, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Fatima has been working for the Benton-Franklin Council of Governments as an Economic Development Coordinator for 15 years. She has served on the board member of the Dispute Resolution Center of the Tri-Cities for six years, is a graduate from Leadership Tri-Cities, Class XV, has been a member of Richland Riverside Rotary club for 12 years, and served as club President from 2010-2011. Fatima enjoys volunteering for several local organizations, going to the gym, dancing, cooking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends!
