CHAPTER MEETING & EDUCATION SESSIONS
September 12th, 2017

Your PMI CRB Chapter Board is pleased to continue its efforts for the 2017/18 Program Year to enhance and provide value to the membership by offering educational sessions each month prior to the Monthly Chapter Meetings. This makes for a PDU rich evening of up to 3 PDUs for Full attendance. We hope you will join us for our monthly Chapter Meeting and Education Sessions.

EDUCATION SESSIONS 

3:30 - 4:30 p.m. - "Systems Engineering for Project Management Professionals" presented by Nick Lombardo from PNNL

4:30 - 5:30 p.m."Procurement Management & Contract Types" presented by John Robinson from CH2M HILL PRC

5:30 - 6:00 p.m.  - Networking and Social Time

6:00 - 6:30 p.m. - Dinner

6:30 - 7:30 p.m. “How You Think is How You Lead” presented by Katie Gracie from WRPS.

Have you ever witnessed a high performing team and wonder what was different about them, or their leader? What do they do differently? How can I get my team to do that? 

In her presentation, Katie will help you gain insight and understanding into how your values, beliefs, and experiences shape you, and how they impact individual and team performance. Katie will explore effective communication techniques and discuss two distinct models of behavior to help you facilitate a change in your team dynamic. Hint - it all begins with you.

KATIE GRACIE

Katie Gracie is a Human Resource professional with over 20 years- experience in talent acquisition, development, management, benefits and compensation, and employee relations.

Katie’s HR experience is multifaceted however most of her career has focused on talent development and acquisition. Katie began her career as a talent acquisition specialist at a $2B aerospace company where she recruited highly skilled engineers to deliver specialized motion control equipment to customers that included NASA, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and Airbus.

Prior to leaving Buffalo, she was Talent Manager for Sumitomo Rubber, formerly Good Year Dunlop Tire North America, where she was responsible for both talent acquisition and training/development for a large manufacturing workforce that included approximately 900 United Steel Workers.

In addition to her many years in industry, Katie has travelled internationally to train in HR concepts and systems as well as implement HR systems and technology.

For the past year Katie calls tri-cities home, along with her husband Curt, daughter Maddie, and 2 dogs, Brodie and Skye.
